Grass clippings should be allowed to remain on the ground after mowing. Mowing frequently will reduce the amount of clippings left behind from previous mowings. Clippings will decompose back into the soil and recycle the nutrients contained within them. DO NOT bag clippings and throw away.
The Danville Borough Street Department WILL NOT collect grass clippings or garden materials at curbside. This service is not available from the borough.
If abundant grass clippings result from mowing, they can be added to backyard compost or make good mulch for gardens. |
