Recycling became mandatory for Danville Borough residents and businesses by the adoption of Ordinance #372 known as the "Recycling Ordinance". Danville Borough is required to recycling pursuant to the Pennsylvania's State Recycling Law, known as "Act 101."
The intent of Act 101 passed by the Pennsylvania General Assembly is to reduce the amount of garbage in the Pennsylvania waste stream by 25%.
RE-USE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS INSTEAD OF THROWING THEM AWAY

Street Sweeping
Street sweeping begins in April of each year. Watch for postings on your street that designate "NO PARKING" for certain borough streets.
